A skill test for kids is an assessment or evaluation designed to measure a child's proficiency or ability in a specific skill or set of skills. These tests can cover various areas, including academic subjects, cognitive abilities, motor skills, social skills, emotional intelligence and more. The purpose of skill tests for kids is to gauge their development, identify areas of strength and weakness, and provide insights for parents, teachers and caregivers.
The examination consists of 20 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each with four options. In addition, there are 5 handwriting questions, each carrying 4 marks. It consists of 100 marks with a time duration of 1 hour.
Drawing skills are the ability to express yourself through illustration. It helps children to develop their visual awareness and to put their abstract ideas onto paper, to help to comprehend them. Creating a drawing habit, and sticking with it, will improve your skills.
There will be 2 questions in drawing. The kids are supposed to draw them and colour them as instructed. It consists of 100 marks with a time duration of 1 hour.
A point system is used to evaluate each drawing fairly:
The school coordinators/teachers are instructed to read the questions aloud so that the students can understand them properly and answer the same on the question paper-cum-answer sheets without fault. Apart from English, the school coordinators/teachers are allowed to read the meaning of the questions in their local languages to make it easier for the students to understand a question properly.
Students can participate in Global Kids Olympiad only through their respective schools. Individual or direct registrations are not permitted. This approach ensures proper coordination, smooth conduct of examinations, and effective communication between the organizing body and participants.
Schools act as the official centers for registration, distribution of study materials, and conduct of examinations. They collect student details, submit consolidated registrations, and coordinate exam schedules as per the guidelines provided by Global Kids Olympiad. All question papers, answer sheets, and related materials are sent directly to the registered schools, ensuring authenticity and uniformity in the examination process.
On the examination day, the test is conducted within the school premises under the supervision of school authorities, maintaining discipline and transparency. This system also helps in easy distribution of admit cards, certificates, and results to the students through their schools.
Therefore, participation through schools not only simplifies the process but also ensures a structured, secure, and well-organized examination experience for all students.
